I found this video
Women in the middle east is my groups project. At first i went to youtube and typed in women the middle east. i then saw these two girls who were smiling and happy and thought that it was going to be a happy video, i was wrong. This video turned my stomach upside down. I was so angry when watching this video. I just want to warn you that this video is very up front and out there so don't say i did not warn you. i know that this does not mean all men and women are like this but to just see a this just makes you think wonder.

Certainly a disturbing video, I agree! I think that the issue of violence against women is a world-wide problem that very much needs to be addressed. It would be a mistake to associate violence against women with Islam, just as it would be a mistake to think that because Christian or Hindu men abuse women that Christianity or Hinduism supports such violence.
ReplyDeleteI watched that video and even though the images were very disturbing what disturbed me even more was the point in the video that said that a father shot his daughters because they had disgraced him. How can a man kill his own flesh and blood? Is honor more important than family?
